WWW Wednesday April 13th

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam over at A World of WordsAnd all you have to do is answer 3 questions. Then post your link in the hostess’ blog post and click around to view other bloggers’ posts, and have fun connecting!

What am I currently reading?

Do my own manuscripts count?? Ahem…

I’m reading a book called The New Rulebook. An interesting romance sci fi type book. Rather interesting as it’s written in that first person present tense style….

Also, I’m rereading Mockingjay.

I’m also trying to read this Epic Christian fantasy called The Fall of Lucifer. The writing is very….eloquent and flowery. Still deciding whether I like that or not.

What did I just finish?

The Promise: By Amanda Tru. A truly wonderful ending to a great series, with the hint that there will be another spin off series coming soon. I wrote a book review here

I finished The Baggage Claim by Amanda Tru.

Definitely action packed. About a Homeland Security agent who has to save New York from a bomb that’s about to explode while dragging around a poor woman along for the ride because the bomb is in her suitcase. I enjoyed it. Still trying to decide if I can suspend some of my realities to believe some of the stuff that happened.

Haven’t written a book review for this one yet.

Undeniably Yours: Becky Wade.

A Maze Ing. I think I need to be more picky about the  contemporary Christian Romance books I read. This one was fantastic. Wonderful writing style, NO GRAMMAR ERRORS, wonderful characters, and great physical and emotional tension. I wrote a book review here

What am I going to read next?

Well, I’m beta reading…does that count? Hm, well, then

her one and only

Her one and only: Becky Wade. ARC copy. YEY. I rarely read ARC copies, but I do enjoy this author tremendously.

What are you reading ?

If you have a WWW link please post it so I can check it out too!

I definitely think your own MS(es) count! 🙂
It’s such a shame to find grammar and spelling errors in a book. I find it jolts you right out of the narrative, so it’s great you had such a good experience with Undeniably Yours.

I know! It’s refreshing to read a well written e book without errors

Reading your own MS definitely counts! 🙂 I hope you’re enjoying your re-read of Mockingly, I’d love to re-read this trilogy but never seem to get around to it. Have a great bookish week!

If I’m reading an ARC, I don’t mind an error here and there but sometimes it can bother me if the spacing is messed up or if there are an overabundance of issues. These books look great though. Thanks for sharing!

I don’t read ARCs of books usually because I have had bad experiences in the past. I think if I research and know the authors work then I might be more inclined. Yes minor issues don’t bother me. It’s glaring issues that bother me because that writer or publisher didn’t take the time to review the writing in detail

Enjoy rereading Mockingjay! I reread it right before the final movie came out and I was glad I did because I thought the ending changed too much and I’m glad I had a solid memory of the ‘good’ book ending. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!

That’s surprising. I have not watched the mockingjay movies. I didn’t like the way the book ended but I’m willing to take another look at it 🙂

I wasn’t a huge fan either, but I still liked it more than the movie.

lol. Right? I did not hear good things about the Mockingjay movies. Disappointing, b/c the book would have lent itself very well to making a great movie. 🙁

    Manuscripts and beta-reads definitely count!
I’m interested to hear what you think about the Fall of Lucifer. It’s been on my TBR for some time now.

really?? that’s interesting. I read subparr reviews on it, but I think I’m willing to read through at least half to see if I like it. Sometimes the style of the writing and the genre are not for everyone

It’s always hard to tell by reviews. It definitely depends on individual tastes 🙂

I loved The Hunger Games, but I thought the second two books disappointing. Compared to other folks, I’m actually enjoying the movie versions quite a bit. 🙂
