WIPpet Wednesday: last WIPpet post of the year? What?

Let’s kick this off with a little update.

I have had some insane things going on since October. My dad was in the hospital for 3 weeks. So that was rather time-consuming and stressful. He’s back home and recovering and doing much better now…My mom still has cancer…but she’s doing very well considering. No Chemo at the moment, just alternative healthcare treatments.

My daughter is going through some health issues, and after several doctor appointments, we finally have a GI specialist appointment (finally about time) Stressing me out like crazy.

That’s mostly why I haven’t been posting. 2nd reason is, I’ve been kinda sitting on my hands while an editor from the Pelican Book Group is reviewing my MS. I think she contacted me first at the end of August. I’ve been editing the other 2 books in my Contemp Christian romance series, but other than that, I’ve been working full time as well so not much room for posting. I hope to post more frequently throughout the next year.

Ahem, now onto WIPpet Wednesday.

Today is 12/7/16.

Here are the first 7 sentences from chapter 12 from my 2nd book in the Second Chances Series. For those of you who may have forgotten, (well it has been a long time since I’ve posted!) my 2 MCs are Joel, and Serena. And Joel has just offered Serena a place to stay because she is currently in a sticky situation that she needed to get out of.

Friday couldn’t come soon enough. Joel’s anticipation grew daily. All I want is for her to be safe. He kept telling himself. Nothing more.

When he pulled through the campus parking lot to the regular drop off spot that he and Lacey usually had, Jessica waited alone.

“Lacey’s not coming?” he asked curiously as she climbed into the front seat.

WIPpet Wednesday is a blog hop where authors share from their current works in progress hosted by Emily Witt – and the excerpt has to relate to the date in some way.

Like I said, hopefully there will be more frequent posting from me!

What are you working on currently? Leave me a comment and let me know!
