Well, folks, there you have it

The end has arrived.

Not really though.

If you’re a serious writer, the last thing you should do is stop writing.

If you’re not, that’s okay. It’s fun – though very daunting.

For those who actually have time, writing 50,000 words is actually plausible. I generally can bust out 2,000 to 3,000 words in one sitting and in college ย it was about a page every half hour. (of good, I mean, passable writing). Well, I’m way passed college, but still…

If I actually did that every day:

2500 x 30 – Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, so 28 days, = 70,000 words

For the majority of us, who have laundry, dishes, laundry, dinner to cook, kids to cart all over the place, important faxes to send out, friends to catch up with, babies who seem to want to stay awake just when I’m about to sit down and write….writing every day is ridiculously hard.

Sorry, too much discussion. My count for this month was 33,000 or so. Not too bad ๐Ÿ™‚ The main goal for me was to create a chronological outline. I sat down over the weekend and tried to write, and realized that now I’m to the point where I need to do research, so I’ve basically completed my goal.

Now I have my first three books to focus on. Goals or the next several months: get them edited and sent out somewhere…:)

  1. Congrats on your achievement! I cranked out a little over 60K words and almost dropped dead! Ha ha. Since sorting through the fallout, but glad I tried it and glad it’s done! Good luck with your books. Happy writing!

    1. Thanks! To be fair…mm I kinda had a short draft that I started several months back. 60 k is impressive! Considering my manuscripts are usually 80 to 90 k. ๐Ÿ™‚ I promised myself I would try not to research during Nov because that hampers my mood lol but of course it’s necessary
