Mirth Music Monday

Mirth and Music Monday – Aug 15th

Though it’s Mirth and Music Monday, you will probably listen to this next song and wonder WHY would I choose this one. I am choosing to play this song because, for me, this song is extremely encouraging. Life is hard, and this song doesn’t deny that. It encourages us to give our worries to God because He is the one in control.

Cast my Cares: Finding Favour

In December, 2015, my mom was diagnosed with cancer in her lung and liver. This is the second time she’s had cancer. In January I was falling apart. The previous 6 months had already been extremely stressful and that diagnosis put the cherry on top. This song played constantly on the radio around here, and it immediately spoke to me. Every time I hear it, it speaks to me, it encourages me. God has always spoken to me through music and songs

God has everything under control. Not that I ever stop worrying…but my mom has never been better. She underwent chemotherapy and is now seeking alternative healthcare options and treatments as well. We have a Gofundme page set up for her. Please feel free to donate anything little or big. You can donate HERE if you want. Though she appears to be doing really well right now,  the cancer is not gone, and the alternative healthcare treatments are not cheap and not covered by her insurance. But they are helping 🙂
Ahem, now for something much more lighthearted and fun.

The ending made me LOL HA!

  1. I will keep your mother in my prayers, my friend. Your faith in God is inspiring and I hope that He provides you with the strength and courage you need to get through this. <3

  2. Music has carried me through a lot of rough times, including my own mom’s bout with cancer. I hope you’re able to get the funds you need for your mom’s treatments.

The Unread Book song is very funny. 😀 Good find.
