My thoughts
Every book I’ve read by Nicole Deese has blown me away and this one was no different. Everything I love about Nicole Deese’s writing – the beautiful, realistic, effortless dialogue that reads like a conversation you’re having with your best friend, the deep and authentic characters who come alive on the page, heartwarming, intense tension and romance – all of it was back.
This was a beautiful tale of more than just the journey of finding and holding onto romance. This was a tale of finding and holding onto a dream – but also knowing when to let dreams go, out of your hands, and into the One who holds all things in His. I loved this whole story. So heartwarming and romantic, yet achingly sad and serious.
I fell in love with Josh Avery as much as Lauren did – for his personality quirks, for his confidence and spunk – for his sheer determination and Godly maturity. Such a fantastically crafted hero.
Lauren was also beautiful in her own right. Just the right kind of independent, given equal flaws and redeeming qualities.
